Annabella Moutain

We went on our annual trip to Monroe mountain again this year over the 4th of July. Our kids look forward to this more than anything the whole year. We had a lot of fun, and Steven found out that he's pretty good at taking pictures (he took all the nature photos). It was nice and cool, and it even rained on us almost everyday, which I love. I think Wesley would live on the mountain if he could. He talks about his "popatee" (property) on the mountain that the deer poop on, all the time. He is so his fathers child. Can't wait for next year!

We had another busy, but great year of baseball. Tate played no for the Cincinnati Reds, he had a lot of fun, learned a lot and met a few new friends. Jesse played for the Colorado Rockies. He was on a very talented team. They went all the way to the championship state game for his league. They played great and took 2nd place. Grandpa Verl helped coach both teams. The boys love having their grandpa coach, and I'm just glad that old age has tamed his temper some! Those of you who have known my dad for a while or ever been to one of my brothers games know what I'm talking about. I guess that is where I get it from- but I didn't embarrass Jesse this year. Way to go boys you did great and I am proud of you!

Emily, this ones for you!
After finding this pile of ants on the walkway to our house, I sent my kids to get the rubbing alcohol, and borrowed a lighter then proceeded to show them how to light the ants on fire! I know, aren't I a great responsible mother; "here kids play with alcohol and a lighter and light helpless creatures on fire." Hey, it could be considered some kind of science lesson right!

Now you know why I married him!
This is Wesley on our friends waterslide, he can't just go down the slide, he has to jump of course!
