Okay so I have lived in my house for almost 9 years and I have had white walls in my bedroom the whole time. Well I decided that enough was enough and I painted my bedroom! I love it but now I swear that my walls look even barer(if that's a word). Everyone thought I was nuts to paint the whole room such a dark color, but once they have seen it, they really like it. I hope they're telling the truth! What do you think? I think next a new bedroom set?

Jesse recently received some scouting advancements. Way to go Jesse and thank you to his great leaders.

Wesley had a run in with a neighborhood child's head on our trampoline and got a lovely black eye. When he came in it looked like he had shoved a large gumball under his eyelid and it was growing at me! It was nasty!
A few days later he had another injury, and I won't go into detail, but just warn your little boys to make sure the toilet seat is up for sure, so that it won't fall, mid business, and pinch any body parts. I never thought about anything like that happening, but in talking to the Dr. and friends, apparently it happens often.

Way to go grandpa! So where are you going to hang this one?
My dad got really lucky this year, and drew a very special Monroe Elk tag. Steven has been putting in for this area for like 13 years, and hasn't been lucky yet. This tag, for you frequent visitors, is for the mountain that we take our annual fourth of July camping trip, and where the beautiful pictures from previous post were taken. Well, when Wesley heard that Grandpa was going to the "circus mountain", (Wesley calls it this because on our last trip we rode out onto what is referred to as "the circle" to watch the fire works, but Wesley thinks the word circle is really circus, and if I were you, I wouldn't try to tell him differently.) so he hears that grandpa is going to the circus mountain, AND is going to hunt elk up there, he was all over it. He told everyone he was going hunting with his dad and his grandpa. I don't think he could have been more excited if it were Christmas. I think he packed his suitcase every other day. By the way it is pretty interesting what kids think think they need to pack. In Wesleys case it consisted of: no socks, everything that he owned that was camouflage, all pajama tops no pajama bottoms, no underwear, Millie's cowboy boots, his Darth Mall, moon boots, and his pocket knife, (so that he could kill an elk) duh! So Grandpa got his elk, and Wesley got to go hunting on the "circus mountain"! He also got to see a hawk take a fish right from the lake, bugle in the elk and witness two bull elk fight it out! He had fun to say the least. I think I have another hunter on my hands. It was kind of scary to let him go, knowing there wouldn't be any female supervision. I told him if he got lost to just sit down where he was at and just start screaming. But his dad , grandpa, and uncle Nate did a great job of not losing him, I couldn't have done better myself. He even came back clean! It is so great to see your children so excited about things. And it amazes me how different each of our children can be from the others. Jesse didn't want to go because he'd have to miss school! If only we could know that our children could always be this happy.

For those of you that have been waiting for the dead animal pictures and the gut pile picture, well here it they are!

Back In Aug. we went for a hike, yes I know most of you are planning you ice skating in hell trip, but I really did go hiking and I was not even the last one to the waterfall! Are you so proud of me, I'm proud of me. I was told it was about a quarter mile hike, yeah, it was more like a mile and a half, and seemed like 20, but I made it!
